USAYPT International Team at IYPT 2007 Seoul, South Korea

This was our fourth competitively-selected team. We finished in 4th place, tied for 3rd overall, and learned a lot, as usual. Kunal Nayyar is headed to Princeton University, Evan Fulop is headed to Dartmouth University, and Janus China is headed to Cambridge University. Daniel Pfeffer graduates from high school in 2008 and Teresa Xu graduates in 2009.
On the left is our 2007 International Team after the 2007 International Team Selection Tournament (our fourth) on 9 February 2007 at the North Carolina School for Science and Mathematics, Durham, NC.
On the right is our second Captain's Flag Ceremony where the 2006 Captain, Phillip Schwartz, passed the USA Flag to the 2007 Captain, Kunal Nayyar. To Phil's right in the photo are the 2005 and 2004 Captains, Jonathan Bohren and Nick Simmons respectively. It was a great thrill to see our alumni return to help with the new National Young Physicists Tournament and give the 2007 International Team a great send off.
