| GETTING ORGANIZED |
There is a whole nested sequence of webpages devoted to answering this question on this website.Those pages explain the team on team competition you are heading to. But before you get there you need to see what your are going to "fight" with, i.e. "what does a presentation at these YPTs kind of look like, eh?" |

WHAT'S A PHYSICS FIGHT? |
|||
The links to the right will load a student presentation from 2005 on a problem called "Ball Spin". Click through and see the level this student, Robby Kirkham, from Rye Country Day School, achieved. How was this possible? Well, in the 21st century our students have enormous computing AND data-acquisition power in those laptops they lug around. Video analysis with digital cameras, spreadsheet modeling of equations of motion with drag and lift...it's time to start using this stuff. |
Click on either photo to see a completed YPT problem. You can do this too.

| Follow this link to the pages that explain the PHYSICS FIGHT AFTER you read this page, the one you are reading now. For training download the Juror Grading Rubrics at that other site, come back to this one and grade Robby's talk. | |||
