| OPENING & CHALLENGE |
|
The Fight begins with the Head Juror calling the room to order, asking the Reporter team Captain to introduce the members, then asking the Opponent team Captain to introduce the members, and then asking the Jury members to introduce themselves. The the Head Juror asks the Opponent Team Captain to issue the challenge to the Reporter team. At the beginning of the Tournament, all problems may be challenged, but after a team has reported a problem they cannot be challenged on that problem again. (See the regulations for details). The Head Juror, and both Team Captains are given cards by the Tournament Director before the Fight that lists which problems can be challenged. ALL teams must be prepared to present at least 3 of the 4 assigned problems. ONLY one rejection is permitted during Tournament play. There are TACTICS involved! The introductions, challenge, possible rejection, eventual acceptance, and preparation for the Reporter takes about 2 minutes. |
